If you want more vapor you need more power. Here's the math: Power (watts) = Volts * Volts / Resistance.
On a mechanical mod, the voltage output is fixed so the only way to increase your power is to decrease your resistance. THIS is why "sub-ohming" is a thing. On a regulated mod like your iStick, power is increased by increasing the voltage output. The resistance does not matter as long as it is within the acceptable range for the device.
When you plug in a new atomizer, the chip in your mod measures the coil resistance and calculates the voltage required to give you the wattage you're asking for.
